Technology, Haiti, and other stuff

Sometimes I really hate technology.  I had just entered a really nice LONG post...and it was quite well written, if I do say so myself (of course I can say that since there's no way to prove it).  And then I got distracted (who, me??) and when I tried to go back and finish it, it was gone!  Grrr.  Just Grrr...

Anyway, bottom line was I am looking SO forward to my trip to Haiti.  I've been reading online about it, I have ordered a book recommended by Linda (Mrs. Isbell, Nicole's teacher), and have read several blogs written by YWAM staffers at Nicole's school.  All this reading has made me so excited to finally get there, see my daughter!!, and experience a little of what she's experiencing right now.  I can't wait to see this "house" they're living in.  18 girls to a room!!  Pretty hard to imagine.  But, if anyone can make it work, Nicole can.  Once the girl makes her mind up to do something, she does it.  No stopping her.  So, I'm sure she's doing fine.  Dustin said she loves everyone there, and everyone loves her back.  Not much of a news flash there! :-)  Anyway, looking forward to my 9 days in Haiti.  It will be good, I know that.

In the meantime, please pray for all of us as we reach out to the Haitian people.  I'm praying for courage to speak boldly of Christ's love, and for sensitivity and willingness to do whatever God wants us to do.  And it never hurts to pray for saftety and health while we're there!

Thanks for reading.  I can't wait to post pictures and stories from my trip.... so, stay tuned.

P.S.  Please also continue to pray for healing for my mom.  She's home and is doing well, but has NO appetite.  And when she does eat, she gets indigestion or nausea.  Not good.  Plus, she's a little bit lonely--missing her dogs.  And since she can't drive yet, or do much of anything, it's pretty quiet and boring around there.  So, pray for her to heal quickly, get her appetite back, and for patience as she waits for the time when she'll be reunited with more of her dogs.

Also, pray for my dad who is feeling better, but, still not quite 100% back to his normal energetic self.
